José del Barrio studied Economics and Business Administration at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He began his career in strategic consulting at Accenture and later joined PwC. In 2015 he co-founded La Nevera Roja with Íñigo Juantegui. After only 40 months of operation they sold the company to the Rocket Internet group for 100 million dollars. Since then he has been a founding partner of Samaipata. Passionate about sport, he has participated in high-level competitions such as Ironman.
